Clearspring Organic Japanese Roasted Twig Tea Kukicha is made with nothing but organically grown roasted green tea twigs, stems and leaves.

The twigs are steamed, dried and aged to develop their flavour.

They are then roasted and mixed with roasted tea leaves to give this tea it’s mild, unique and soothing flavour.

The tea bushes are harvested late in the season as the plant’s caffeine levels are at their lowest at this time, making this tea lower in caffeine than coffee, black tea or green tea. Kukicha tea contains just 4.3mg of caffeine per 100g,

compared to 60mg of caffeine per 100g in coffee.

This mild and soothing tea is perfect for any time of the day, and for children and adults alike.

Directions

Add 2 heaped tablespoon of tea to 1 litre of water, bring to the boil, lower the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
